About Us |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Certified Public Health Inspectors can be found in many
different workplaces in Newfoundland and Labrador. However, those who are
actively practicing their profession in the public health field, apart
from those in management or coordinating positions, have the title of
"Environmental Health Officer", and work alongside other
governmental inspectors as part of Service NL. The Department of Health and
Community Services is responsible for the development of Public Health policy
and standards, and is the legislative authority in these matters. A Memorandum of
Understanding connects these two departments with four Regional Health
Authorities,
who manage and
deliver health services, to provide a
coordinated approach to the field of Health Protection and Promotion.
